FB6 Fodder Beet Stimulant

FB6 is our latest Fodder Beet plant stimulant product - another valuable tool in our Bio-Help range of bio-stimulants

Fodder Beet can be a low-cost, high yield alternative to other winter feeds. It has a high sugar content and provides essential nutrients and energy for the stock.
Fodder Beet is a low cost feed source provided you get a big yield!   It has a high growing cost, typically around $2400/Ha so maximizing yield is essential to make it profitable.

Using FB6 will give an under-performing crop a substantial boost and improved yield.

Growing good fodder is relevant on good planning.  Nutrient issues need to be identified and rectified well ahead of time, particularly the pH level.  The plants need a decent start with a good seedbed and no weed pressure.  We recommend Bio-Help's Terrazone be applied before working the paddock to help with the soil breakdown, giving a good base for the fodder to establish itself.  Sowing to be done when the soil temperatures have risen and the danger of prolonged frosts has passed.  If sowing in October, we recommend leaf tests to be done in January, and then FB6 applied.

McDonald Agri-Fert’s observations indicate that FB6 will help give an under-performing crop a substantial boost and improve yield.

Ian McDonald did some field trials to see if FB6 would boost fodder beet yield:

Trial 1
An application of FB6 was applied at 25L/Ha on 26th March 13.  It was measured on 6th June 13 – gave an increase in yield of 46%

Trial 2
An application of FB6 was applied at 25L/Ha on 7th April 14.  It was measured on 25th May 14 – gave an increase of yield of 43%

On our trials, the bulbs grew bigger, and heavier, and the roots improved. The tops were softer and larger and stayed green.  The crop overall was healthier and gave an increased yield.

If your crop is not growing to its yield potential, then this product will give it a huge help.
